GDP Driver Training
The purpose of this 2-hour course is to give drivers an appreciation of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) in relation to how Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Products, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, Raw Materials and Medical Devices should be collected/delivered correctly to ensure full compliance and quality/patient safety along the supply chain.
The course also provides drivers with an opportunity to discuss their requirements and will assist them in learning more about their crucial role in the supply chain.
After the course, driver will:
- Understand that as a driver their crucial role is ensuring that patient safety is protected in all collections, deliveries and right along the distribution supply chain as materials and products move from suppliers to final customers.
- Understand what Good Distribution Practice is and what my responsibility as a driver is.
- Understand the regulatory requirements and constraints facing manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and transport/logistics companies in the management of the full supply chain.
- Become familiar with the Irish Medical Board (IMB) and why they feel driver training will enhance compliance in the supply chain.
- Understand why security, quality and compliance are essential in all collections and deliveries as the growth of counterfeit products on a global basis continues to increase.

Transport/Logistics Service Providers, Freight Forwarders, Agents & Sub-Contractors.
Drivers who collect, transport and deliver Pharmaceutical or Medical Products.
Any company who is applying for the GDP Passport or who is considering applying for (or maintaining) IMB Wholesalers Authorisation (Licence).
